Customei bills through Shopify. You approve each charge in Shopify, it appears on your Shopify invoice, and Shopify’s own terms apply to paying it. We never see your card.
- Plan fee
- A recurring fee, charged every 30 days or once a year, at the price shown on the pricing page and in the app when you subscribe. A new price only applies to you once you approve it in Shopify.
- Per-item fee
- On top of the plan fee, each confirmed print file is billed once, at your plan’s per-item rates. Ten of the same personalized mug make one print file, so they cost one fee. A design that prints on three sheets is three files. A render that fails is never billed.
- When a print file is counted
- When its order reaches Customei, paid or not, so cash-on-delivery and manual-payment orders count too. Refunding or cancelling the order, or removing the line, does not undo a fee already counted.
- When usage is charged
- Per-item fees for a calendar month are charged on the 1st of the following month.
- The usage cap
- When you subscribe, Shopify asks you to approve a cap on usage charges per billing cycle. Shopify refuses usage charges above it, but that usage is still owed, and we will ask you to raise the cap or settle the difference.
- Free trial
- Each account gets one free trial, of the length the app shows when you install. There is no trial if any store in the account has paid before. Uninstalling pauses the days you have left and reinstalling resumes them. Choose a plan during the trial and the days left carry over to it.
- Usage around the trial
- A calendar month spent entirely on the trial has no per-item fees. The month your paid plan starts is billed for the whole month, trial days included.
- Changing plans
- An upgrade or a downgrade replaces your plan as soon as you approve it in Shopify.
- Cancelling
- Cancelling ends your paid plan at once, not at the end of the period, and its features stop with it. Per-item fees you owe are charged first. If a usage charge was refused in the last 60 days for going over your cap, you need to raise the cap and pay it before you can cancel.
- Uninstalling
- Uninstalling ends your plan as well. Per-item fees from before you uninstalled are recorded, and charged if you subscribe again.
- Refunds
- Plan and per-item fees are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
