How it works

Three steps, about a minute

    Copy the prompt for your app

    Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Cursor. The arrow next to each one has its terminal app too.

    Paste it into a chat

    If Customei is already connected, the assistant gets to work. If not, it tells you how to add it, step by step.

    Sign in with your store

    Your browser opens Customei. Enter your store, then click Allow. There is no API key to paste.

Questions

What can the assistant do?

Find and check your templates, option sets, products and an order's print files. Build and change templates, option sets and translations. Publish products when you say so. It works only in your own account, and only within what your plan allows.

What does it ask permission for?

The approval page lists read, write and done. Read looks and checks. Write builds and changes, and shoppers see it once a product is published, except custom CSS and JavaScript, which go live at once. Done publishes products or takes them down.

Which plans include it?

Studio, with 1,000 calls a cycle, and Atelier, with no limit. A call is one action the assistant takes. Maker does not include AI agents.

My AI app isn't on the list.

Any app that can add a remote MCP server works. Add the server URL as a custom MCP server, choose OAuth if it asks, and sign in.

It says “App not yet connected”.

The store you typed is not linked to a Customei account yet. Open Customei once in that store's Shopify admin, then connect again.

How do I disconnect it?

Remove Customei from the AI app's connectors. To have Customei cancel the access on its side too, email support.
